# Fees Burnt

> Fees burnt by Ethereum transactions, in ETH and USD.

## What it measures

Fees burnt by Ethereum transactions, in ETH and USD. Burning was introduced by the London upgrade, so the series starts at block `12965000` (2021-08-05 12:33:42 UTC).

## Assets and windows

| Asset class | What it covers | Assets | Windows |
| - | - | - | - |
| **Native ETH** | the native asset, `asset=eth` | `eth` | `block` · `10min` · `hour` · `day` |

The default window is `day`.

## Response fields

The time key depends on the window: `datetime` for `day`, `10min`, and `hour` and `blockheight` plus `datetime` for `block`.

| Field | Type | Description |
| - | - | - |
| `fees_burnt_total` | number | The sum of fees burnt in the window, in ETH. |
| `fees_burnt_total_usd` | number | The sum of fees burnt in the window, in USD. |

  title: CryptoQuant Data API v2 — On-chain
  description: >-
On-chain endpoints of the CryptoQuant Data API v2 — network activity,
exchange and mining pool flows, indicators, and capitalization, for Bitcoin
and for Ethereum with the ERC-20 and stablecoin assets issued on it. One
path serves every asset: the asset is a query parameter, not part of the
path. Built on the v1 conventions: the `status`/`result` envelope, Bearer
token authentication, and the `window`/`from`/`to` time parameters.
